Ladies, I just returned from Morning Show Boot Camp in Denver and I am reminded how meeting your peers from around the country (and the world) can get you re-invigorated about your profession. It is so easy to access resources on-line, that we may not be attending industry conferences and conventions as readily as in prior years.
I had the opportunity to meet with morning show air talent, producers, agents and managers who generously shared ideas, offered suggestions, introduced me to products and services that will immediately improve my work. Most of this came from informal networking between workshops.
If you are feeling stuck in a career rut, find out about industry conferences that you can attend and shake things up a bit! You may also meet contact who can help you find a new job in a closely related industry.

Okay, this is my last post of the day!
Another great topic---the conference I just went to in Atlanta, GA, is an industry specific conference for the gift/gift basket business world...YES...we have an annual convention :) They offer lots of workshops on all sorts of business topics, taught by extremely motivating and successful women, but best of all is the networking with others in my industry.
It's a great way to get juiced up for the upcoming holiday season.
You will be surprised at how many different conferences/conventions there are out there...when we were in Atlanta at the Hilton, there was an international convention of
"Dancing Preachers"! And you thought a gift basket conference was funny...
